Who We Are
Halstead Partners ("we," "us," "our") operates the Ledger Suite of agricultural invoicing applications, including Ledger Drone, Ledger Haul, Ledger Bale, and related products. Our website is halstead.partners. For privacy questions, contact us at support@halstead.partners.
What Data We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to operate our services:
- Email address — collected by Stripe during checkout. Stored in our database (Google Cloud Firestore) to associate with your license and referral code. Used to send license restore verification codes and (optionally) product updates.
- Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number.
- License key and referral code — generated at purchase and stored in Firestore.
What Data We Do NOT Collect
- Invoice data — all invoices, customer names, field names, photos, and PDF files are stored locally on your device. We never see, access, or transmit your invoice content.
- Location data — we do not track your location.
- Analytics or tracking — we collect anonymous page view counts to measure product interest. No cookies, no personal data, and no third-party trackers are used.
How We Use Your Data
- To deliver your license and referral code after purchase
- To verify your identity when restoring a license (OTP email verification)
- To process referral earnings via Stripe Connect
- To send occasional product updates (you can opt out by contacting us)
QuickBooks Online Integration
Our applications offer an optional integration with Intuit QuickBooks Online. If you choose to connect your QuickBooks Online account:
- OAuth tokens — when you authorize the connection, Intuit provides OAuth access and refresh tokens. These tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage in our database (Firestore). We never store tokens in plaintext.
- Invoice data sent to QuickBooks — when you tap "Send to QuickBooks," the invoice data (customer name, line items, amounts) is transmitted from your device through our server to the QuickBooks Online API. We do not store your invoice content on our servers; it passes through only to reach QuickBooks.
- QuickBooks company information — we store your QuickBooks company name to display your connection status in the app.
- Disconnecting — you can disconnect at any time from the app settings. When you disconnect, we revoke your OAuth tokens with Intuit and delete all stored token data from our database.
Your use of QuickBooks Online is also subject to Intuit's Privacy Statement.
Third-Party Services
Data Retention
We retain your email and license data indefinitely to support license restoration. If you want your data deleted, email support@halstead.partners and we will remove your records within 30 days.
Data Security
All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Our database (Firestore) encrypts data at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
